Wittycell: an innovative solution in the vaccine adjuvant field
Wittycell develops novel adjuvant products for therapeutic and prophylactic Vaccines based on the Company’s proprietary technology.
Since its foundation in 2005, Wittycell S.A.S. has developed a new family of vaccine adjuvants, which aims to satisfy unresolved demands in this field. While many new antigens have been shown to induce a positive response against infectious diseases and cancer, the lack of an appropriate adjuvant in many cases prevents this potential from being realized.
Using exclusive licenses from three prestigious US academic laboratories, Wittycell’s portfolio fills this gap. Its adjuvants activate the innate immune system, so that the appropriate antigens meet their target and induce a strong immune response particularly in CD8+ T-cells.
Wittycell’s synthetic compounds based on natural iNKT agonists of human cells have a recognized and published mode of action. In extensive preclinical trials, including non-human primates, these compounds have been shown to be active with no detectable toxicity and with no biological side-effects such as local inflammation.
Fully synthesized and with complete manufacturing scale-up, Wittycell adjuvants are an efficient but also a very economical solutions to demands in the field.
